I once did that to my bottom lip, and it created a nasty nodule and had to have it surgically removed after like a year of not going away.
AND, I had to pay for it out of pocket, because my health insurance said it was in my mouth and therefore the dental insurance's responsibility, and the dental insurance said it was soft tissue and therefore the health insurance's responsibility. Apparently, we need lip insurance.

OMG!!! I'm swearing at myself right now just reading your post and I haven't even done it today. I sooo hate that.
