vaccinations...

They have vaccines for babies called:

* Hepatitis B (HepB)
* Diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (DTaP)
* Haemophilus influenzae Type b (Hib)
* Inactivated polio (IPV)
* Measles, mumps, rubella (MMR)
* Varicella (chickenpox)
* Pneumococcal (PCV)
* Influenza (flu)
* Hepatitis A (HepA)
* Rotavirus

But NOTHING for DVFH (Daycare Virus form HELL!)

Sigh.

I RARELY if EVER get sick. Even less so since I quit smoking 4 years ago. But I had heard the rumors. You know, the "mom gets sick and stays that way longer than baby." I thought - ha! Yeah right, not me!

Gah.

Thank goodness for Advil Cold and Sinus - it's all that's keeping me breathing at this point.

But I will say that my old "Sexy Sophia Loren Morning Voice" which was the ONLY benefit of my smoking, is BACK. Yeah, baby. If only it wasn't accompanied by a sore throat.

I'm hoping to go into work tomorrow. I might just do a part day, taking it easy, so that I don't knock myself completely out for later on in the week...

be glad, glad, glad that you are not sick in Oregon. We can't buy ANY good cold medicine without a prescription.

Shelli, I hope you feel better soon! I used to never get sick, but now, all the time! But that was funny what you said about the sexy voice because that's always how people can tell that I'm sick. So MP3 is better? Glad about that.

Yeah, daycare is a freakin' science lab of breeding germs.
Our FD was there twice/week, not even full-days, and there were only 5 other kids there, but she managed to get 3 colds and RINGWORM!
And she was only there for...maybe 6 months?

She'd been totally healthy before that. Didn't even have any respiratory issues from being a 2lb 4oz preemie!

I'm sorry. You're absolutely right about a mom's illness hanging on. I just got over (fingers crossed) the longest cold I've had in years. Poo.
Take care of yourself.

Please, we've got to fund research for the DVFH vaccine. NOW! I think that in the last 34 days, Evelyn has had one day where some type of mucous was not running from her eyes or nose.

Once again, Evelyn and MP3 are living parallel lives. We're also finishing up the course of cremesicle biotics. Here's hoping the next round is a long way off.
