One of Narda's dear friends has a family home upstate, and we've agreed to go there for a weekend. I'm totally psyched - get out of the city, enjoy some nature, it will be GREAT.
Here's the kicker.
It's the weekend of the 20th.
um.
I will be exactly 1 day BEHIND THE ENTIRE COUNTRY IN KNOWING WHAT HAPPENS TO HARRY POTTER IN THE FINAL BOOK.
I can't believe it.
What was I thinking.
At least, in 12 hours, I will be watching movie #5...

I am dying because I will not be able to go see the movie until Friday. The only saving grace for me is that no one can really spoil it for me because I have already read the book.
Don't listen to any tv or read any magazines or newspapapers until you get your hands on the book when you come back!

we've dealt with this for the last 3 books. find a local bookstore and go to their midnight party along with the locals and stay up all night on vaca reading it.
ReplyDeleteI am going to be in California when the book comes out. I am undecided about whether I will pick it up there...we'll be visiting people and it would be rude to be reading it, but oh my goodness, I just don't know that I can help myself.

We are going away too. We called ahead to confirm the local bookshop there will be stocking the book and preordered 4 copies before we finalised our plans for that weekend.
